Magical Milan

Another place I absolutely love. Should I really be surprised? As soon as we found out that we had a free travel weekend during fashion week, it was a done deal. The odds of being in Milan during fashion week in the future are slim to none... so that was an easy decision! Our weekend started out with an EARLY departure. Stacie and I woke up to catch our 5:25 am bus (ickk.) to the center and then met up with our friends to get on another bus. I am going to be seriously bus-ed out by the time I head back to the states! After a nice 4 hour nap/jam sesh we arrived in beautiful MILANO

Let me give you a better idea of our weekend...

We went inside the GORGEOUS gothic-style duomo

We spent plenty of time in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele
and even spun on the good luck torino! We are so Milanese now.

We successfully snuck 6 girls in and out of a luxurious
hotel room for 2 at the Westin Palace.

And of course we got dolled up for the shows that were scattered around town!
People definitely enjoyed seeing six trendy girls jumping on the metros and
wandering the streets so we did have paparazzi issues.

Signed my autograph at the Versace Fashion Show no big deal ;) Oh and don't worry we definitely saw Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue Magazine.

There were plenty of fashionistas to look at including these divos. Next time we
have to practice our faces in front of the mirror so we can nail it like they did.

All the guys in Milan wear suits ALL the time. SO CLASSY.
OBSESSED. But I was not particularly fond of this one...

Free food and goodies :)

Photo Shoot before day #2 of fashion week was a must!

Can't forget our sweet stop at Laduree for macaroons! We went all out
and got gelato with a macaroon in the middle. To die for!

Do you see why I love Milano now?! It's crazy to see how a city in Northern Italy is soo different than a city in the South like Rome. Each place is completely unique and beautiful in its own way.  I am already having Milan withdrawals so I guess I will keep my mind off of it by starting to plan my next weekend trip!

xoxo,

Rita
